Learn about RISD Global Summer Studios 2021 Virtual, Thailand | From Seed to Cloth: A Mindful Approach to Craft from RISD Apparel Design faculty Jasper Chadprajong-Smith. Join us as we answer questions about what to expect in this global studio running virtually in June 2021!

Global Summer Studios are three-week art and design virtual courses led by RISD faculty and designed to broaden perspectives, de-center experiences and reframe assumptions by exploring the intersections of craft, art and design as they manifest around the world.

In this 3-credit globally-inspired Apparel Design studio you will learn about the mindfulness approach to craft-making, by exploring hand-weaving, Tai Lue textiles, eco-printing, indigo, and natural dye processes. Global Summer Studios are open to undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at RISD or in other art and design institutions worldwide, as well as recent graduates practicing in the field.

This event will take place via Zoom Meeting. We recommend watching the Course Snapshot Video to inform your questions, if you have time before attending (not required).
