The deadline for Global Summer Studies 2027 and Wintersession Travel Courses 2028 proposals is September 25th 2026 at 12:00PM.
In order to be reviewed, proposals for Global Summer Studies 2027 and Wintersession Travel Courses 2028 must be submitted by faculty via Coursedog by September 25th 2026 at 12:00PM. Interested parties can submit a course for one term or both terms. Late submissions will not be considered. Applicants will be given Coursedog credentials for submission by the Registrar’s Office only after confirming their intent to propose with RISD Global via email: global@risd.edu.
Every January during Wintersession, RISD faculty offer multi-disciplinary, off-campus travel courses. Wintersession Travel Courses are 4 to 5 week long courses led by RISD faculty that bring together RISD students from across disciplines in the exploration of a wide spectrum of topics related to art, design and global thinking.
Every summer, RISD Global offers a set of multi-disciplinary Global Summer Studies courses. These 3 week-long, 3 credit courses are led by RISD faculty and engage RISD students, as well as art and design students from other colleges, in the exploration of a wide spectrum of topics related to art, design and global thinking.
