Please join EFS Critic, Haley MacKeil, and Architecture Professor, Amelyn Ng, for an infosession covering the Global Summer Studies Course, Italy | Stones of Venice: A Critical Geology, on March 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the RISD Global office (321 ProvWash).

The application for Global Summer Studies 2023 will open on March 1, 2023 at 7 PM and close on April 14, 2023 at 11:59 PM.

Italy | Stones of Venice: A Critical Geology

This 3 credit 3 week interdisciplinary studio course provides the opportunity to explore Venice by land and by water to creatively engage with its culture, architecture and urbanism, geology, and key climate issues. Students will investigate events such as acqua alta and interface with diverse perspectives on climate emergency, flood mitigation, material transformations, and possible futures of the city.
