RISD Weekend Session: RISD Global | Art & Design Programs In An Age Of Globalization

Each year approximately 350 RISD students and faculty members participate in off-campus global learning experiences custom-created to meet the goals of art and design practitioners preparing to contribute to a global society. Meet the RISD Global team that coordinates these experiences and see how global learning influences student perspectives long after college. Organized in collaboration with RISD Weekend, our annual alumni reunion and parents’ weekend.

Beginning on Friday afternoon, it offers visitors abundant opportunities to connect with students, faculty and staff, explore studios and galleries, and be reminded of what makes RISD so special. RISD Weekend events invite parents to get an up-close look at the studio process, speak with faculty, and attend demos, exhibitions, and presentations. For alumni the weekend is an exhilarating way to reconnect with faculty members and friends, while celebrating significant class reunions.
