Global Summer Studios 2020: RISD COVID-19 Update
RISD remains actively engaged in monitoring both local and global health trends, in order to share timely and factual information about COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Unfortunately given the uncertain projections for when COVID-19 will slow, RISD has announced the cancellation of RISD Global Summer Studios 2020.
RISD Student Financial Services will issue full refunds for all deposits and payments made towards Global Summer Studios travel courses to enrolled students. Please allow up to two weeks for your refund to be processed. Refunds will be sent to the original account that payment was made from.
We understand this is a very disappointing update for you all, the decision to cancel the 7 RISD Global Summer Studios for this incoming summer was difficult. However, the enduring global pandemic, as well as continuing widespread travel precautions (mandatory quarantines, travel bans, limited airfare availability, and visa restrictions), made it clear that RISD will not be able to ensure you all, as well as your faculty and TAs, a safe and productive learning environment for your summer course.
