Researching Experimental Design in Japan

Ayako Takase. Assistant Professor. Industrial Design. Received a GEforCD grant to conduct on-site research in Japan to explore the potential for an off-campus global learning course that will engage students with both experimental design collectives in major cities in Japan and small-scale artisan communities in rural settings. The course will seek to explore collaborations and potential collaborations between these two sectors and between urban and rural design realities.
